The Wera electric motorcycle
The Wera

Built in Kenya

Wera Mobility exists to put affordable, reliable electric motorcycles into the hands of the riders who keep Africa moving — and to build the clean energy network that keeps them on the road.

From our base in Nairobi, we design rugged electric bikes and a battery-charging network that works where riders work: at home, on the street, and across every county. Wera stands for Work, Empowerment, Responsibility and Advancement — the values behind every bike we build and every rider we back.

Rogers Andagalu

Rogers Andagalu

Co-Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer rogers@weramobility.com

Rogers Andagalu is the co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wera Mobility, building affordable, rider-owned electric motorcycles for Africa's boda-boda riders. An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Cape Town, he is a commercial lawyer whose practice spans contract drafting and negotiation, commercial conveyancing, banking-security perfection and corporate governance — and the founder of the cross-border legal venture Lex Frontier Africa, through which he has advised on market entry and regulatory positioning in Kenya's emerging electric-vehicle sector. He pairs that legal and governance discipline with training in global climate governance (Sciences Po) and a founder's drive.

At Wera, Rogers took the idea from concept to a capitalised venture — raising the seed round, assembling its manufacturing, battery, telematics and distribution partners, and steering the product toward market. His passion is clean energy and the protection of the planet — replacing petrol bodas with zero-emission bikes ordinary riders can actually afford — and the protection of the rider, through rider-owned ownership, insurance, safety and wellbeing, and technology that keeps riders secure and treats them fairly. His promise is simple: independence for the rider, and a cleaner, greener Africa.

Stephen Ndichu

Stephen Ndichu

Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer stephenkahuthia@weramobility.com

Stephen Ndichu is a commercial and business development leader with over a decade of experience building businesses, developing markets, and driving growth across electric mobility and asset-financing ecosystems in Africa.

As Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Wera Mobility, Stephen leads the company’s commercial strategy, market expansion, strategic partnerships, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. His focus is on building scalable solutions that make electric mobility more accessible, practical, and commercially sustainable for riders, businesses, and institutions.

With deep experience across sales, strategic partnerships, financial inclusion, fleet and institutional sales, and market development, Stephen brings a strong understanding of the ecosystem required to accelerate EV adoption — from product-market fit and financing to distribution, customer experience, and after-sales support.

At Wera, Stephen is driven by a simple belief: electric mobility should not just be about replacing petrol motorcycles — it should be about creating better livelihoods, more efficient businesses, and sustainable economic opportunities for riders and communities.
